Playa Serena Golf Course was founded in 1979 and designed by Angel Gallardo and Peter Alliss.  It is the most established course in the region, approximately 40 minutes drive from the Almeria Aiport and 1 hour 20 minutes from Mojacar.  It has a flat character located a couple of minutes from the beach in Roquetas de Mar.  Plenty of natural water hazards and bunkers, protecting the small and mostly undulated greens, make this course a true challenge and provide a fair test for all levels of play.  Palms, pine trees and acacias surround the course which is a private members course but green fee players are welcome when booking in advance.  The course is 18 hole, 72-par of 6,300 metres.  The club house is a welcome break after your round. 






The club is within walking distance of all the bars and restaurants in the Urbanisation of Roquetas De mar. You will find a good range of Spanish, English bars I can recomend Flamingos, El Bistro, Indian Gate. These resturants give good value for money
